In 1991 I gained a First Class Degree in Painting at Canterbury College of Art, and after intervals in America and Japan I completed a Master’s Degree at Falmouth College of Art in Cornwall. It was at this point that I became interested in the relationship between words and images and began working within the book format. As well as exploring the inter-relationship between text and image, I was also interested in creating portable, accessible art that didn’t require a specific viewing context. (from website).
